DeeDee's Maple Salmon


  • 1 salmon fillet (2-3 lb.) double recipe if bigger fillet
  • 3⁄4 cup maple syrup (I use light)
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1⁄2 tbsp mustard
  • Few drops of hot pepper sauce
Combine all ingredients, mix well & pour 1⁄2 cup into a large ziplock bag. Add the salmon, seal and turn to coat. Marinate in fridge for up to 2 hours. Save remaining sauce for basting.
For grill marks you may grill salmon skin side up over med-hot heat for 2-4 minutes. Place salmon in double thick heavy foil, spoon reserved marinade over salmon, fold foil around fillet to seal and grill 5-10 minutes until fish flakes easily with fork, baste with marinade and serve.
