Crab Loaf Luscious

 

2 tablespoons butter

 

2 tablespoons flour

 

1/4 teaspoon dry mustard

 

1 cup milk

 

1 pound crab meat

 

3 eggs, beaten

 

1 cup fine dry bread crumbs

 

Salt and pepper

 

Olives and lemon slices

 

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter; blend in flour and dry mustard. Add milk and cook, stirring, until thickened. Remove pan from heat and add the crab, eggs and crumbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix lightly but thoroughly. Pack mixture into a greased 2 1/4-inch by 3 5/8-inch by 7 3/4-inch pan and bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes. Turn out of pan and garnish with olives and lemon slices.

 

Makes 6 servings.
